Our 4th and 5th grade bobcats represented well at the district-wide Math ThinkTank thanks to their own perseverance and @Miss_Stout1 and Mrs. Vanegasโ Math Club training! Thanks for organizing a memorable day for our students, @IanKerr_math! @WestChesterASD@SaraMMissett
PBIS winners partnered with Student Council members to prepare dog treats to take with them when they volunteer at the SPCA in February! We love that our student rewards are service-oriented and the kids love joining in! @WestChesterASD@MrsLetrinko@Miss_Stout1
@MsJoelleLinstra@HSchugar I totally agree! I think itโs concerning that in this digital world, eReading is not being acknowledged as much as it should. #eReadingChat
@MsKellyFHE@HSchugar I agree, Katelyn. I think knowing how to properly evaluate eTexts will be essential moving forward. I hope that we can help spread the word about how eTexts can be beneficial to student learning! #eReadingChat
@MrsLepkaWTE@HSchugar I agree, Riley! I think that if teachers rely too heavily on eReading & forget physical books (or vice versa), comprehension will suffer. #eReadingChat
@missmaddie18@HSchugar I agree! With hearing how beneficial comprehension checks along the way are, I wonder if this is something that can be added to Epic! to keep students accountable. #eReading
@HSchugar I think eReading is here to stay! I think we need to ensure that we teach strategies effectively and that teachers have the proper training with eReading. Students need to understand itโs okay (and normal) to get distracted, but know how get back on track. #eReadingChat
@missmaddie18@HSchugar I agree, Maddie! This makes me hopeful in this digital world to know that we have the power to teach students how to interact with eBooks! #eReadingChat
@HSchugar@MrsLepkaWTE I agree! I used to think all eBooks were distracting because they hindered my personal comprehension. I have so much hope knowing that used in moderation and implemented well, eBooks are a great resource. #eReadingChat
