EXACTLY. Being concerned about the "leaks" are completely valid, but this is CLEARLY a trap to distract everyone from signing the petition.
The timing is too convenient after the team announced they wanted to do a goodbye stream. This is obviously a petty revenge scheme.
@swiftaculous__ Yeah she does force Alya to lie. To the point where her back's up against the wall and Alya continues being her stand-in as a sign of maturity and responsibility.
When Marinette's lie gets revealed, guess who's not gonna take it well and start crashing the fuck out at the girl?
thinking about adrien’s atrocious plan to turn his house into a museum like why did nathalie approve of this why did he even think of this in the first place 😭😭
to the point of agreeing to put up the statue he crashed out abt in mister agreste LIKE??
@swiftaculous__ Regardless of Marinette's intentions, she lied, she messed up, and it's her fault.
You can blame it on Alya all you want but she's not the one who was present to physically witness an unforgivable secret kept from many loved ones about a terrorist supervillain.
@swiftaculous__ And yet Marinette has gone on to drag and manipulate Alya into making Gabriel Agreste seem like a good person/father to Adrien. Marinette has lied multiple times and has actively dragged Alya into her mess to protect her boyfriend's feelings but not her best friend's morals.
@idk123289@sshampii@whiskersnoirr Always physically left Marinette to disengage from the argument. She's not responsible for Marinette's fuck ups.
You can still tell someone they fucked up and leave them to sit in the mess they made and refuse to clean up. If you made a mess, you need to clean it up yourself.
@sshampii@idk123289@whiskersnoirr FOR REAL. We know Marinette's suffering but she should've told the truth. Now she's in trouble for keeping an awful lie.
@idk123289@whiskersnoirr ...for feeling like she couldn't take it anymore, Alya rested and cut her some slack. But she still lectured her on what she did wrong and strictly told Marinette this is her fault and needs to clear the air to Adrien.
@idk123289@whiskersnoirr She just collected one piece of the puzzle by herself in the beginning of the episode. A major piece at that.
The person who found out about somebody's lie isn't the one responsible to reveal info they don't have the full picture for. And after Marinette trauma dumped on her...
@idk123289@whiskersnoirr Like I said, Alya doesn't have all the pieces of the puzzle to tell Adrien. Marinette does. From here onwards, we can infer that Alya will continue to do her own research about this and get the entire truth on her own.
Clearly Marinette doesn't plan to be honest.
@idk123289@whiskersnoirr My guy, that's just shifting the blame onto Alya so Marinette seems better by comparison. Alya doesn't even have all the pieces of the puzzle to tell Adrien to begin with.
If Marinette told the truth from the beginning, Alya's disappointment would've stung less to her. L
@idk123289@whiskersnoirr No, Marinette brought this web of lies upon herself so she needs to be the one to fix this mess herself. It ain't Alya's responsibility.
@Likuzel02@whiskersnoirr It legit is Marinette's burden to bear. Alya isn't responsible for Marinette's deceit. Plus they live in a world where the miraculous items could destroy the world. Betrayal isn't something to be taken lightly over there.
@Zenikubag@sinclipse3 Falling for a classmate's lie without proof is nowhere near as bad as lying to the entire world & your boyfriend about how his father was a terrorist supervillain and how he was a hero to the world.
