CEO APPOINTMENT - PWC SOUTH AFRICA
PwC has announced the appointment of Anastacia Tshesane as the next Chief Executive Officer of PwC South Africa, with effect from 1 July 2026.
Tshesane currently serves as the Chair of the PwC SA Governing Board and the PwC Africa Governance Board, roles she has held since July 2021. She will hand over both positions to Alsue du Preez, the current PwC Africa Insurance Leader.
A seasoned assurance partner with almost two decades at PwC, Tshesane brings extensive experience across financial services, consumer markets, and industrial products and services.
She has led audits for major local and multinational companies and is recognised for leadership grounded in quality, ethics, inclusion, and a strong commitment to people and brand stewardship.

Prasa has frozen former executive Daniel Mthimkhulu's pension after he faked his qualifications. Mthimkhulu's also been ordered to pay back R5.7 million by the High Court in Johannesburg for misleading the organisation about his qualifications. #sabcnews
