We are planning to go out into the playground to collect natural materials tomorrow but the weather has been so unpredictable 😄 any extras you have at home would be super helpful.

Last week we started painting our shoe boxes 😄We are hoping they are going to turn out like the pictures included. If you have anything laying around the house you think we could use, please send it in to school. Sticks, stones, leaves, fake plants, we would be most grateful🤩🍃

Spring Boogie tickets now on sale in school. It’s £2 per ticket (max £4 per family). There is also an opportunity for children to enter our drawing competition as part of their ticket 🎨🖌️🖼️ children should bring their entry with them on the night 🎉

P2 Story Club Week 6 - Oh the Places you'll go! 🤩

We read this brilliant Dr Seuss book then talked about all the places we want to go and what we want to be when we grow up.

Your child should have a set of flash cards home today😄. Each set has sounds highlighted that your child needs a little more revision to retain. If possible, please revise these at home to embed our class learning.

We loved learning about how some food can be imported to the UK as our climate is too cold. We tried some different fruits and food that comes from hotter places like the rainforest.

We finished off this afternoon with some games with our P6 buddies. We had to work together to keep the balloons in the air without it touching the table, floor, or being caught. @MissHurrenHPS

We have been working hard on writing setting descriptions as part of our writing focus in P2A. We used our senses to help us think of what we could see, smell, taste, feel and hear in the planet of The Smeds and The Smoos.

We have been working hard on our sound 'ou' this week and writing setting descriptions with detailed pictures.

We have also been continuing to work on partitioning 2 digit numbers into tens and ones.

The Paper Dolls!

We have been practicing counting all the way to 300 in 10s during maths and have also been working on place value with 2 digit numbers.
