Global charitable foundation established by @LewisHamilton. Driving change so that every young person can thrive in school and access great careers in STEM.
We're delighted to see Mission 44 and our partnership with @IBM featured in the @FinancialTimes.
At @sxswlndn, our CEO @Jason_Arthur joined @JustinaNixon of IBM to discuss the role employers can play in helping young people develop the skills they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
As Jason shared:
💬 "We want to get students excited about STEM and we use motorsport as a microcosm."
Through Mission 44 programmes, young people can connect what they're learning in the classroom to real-world careers across engineering, software development, data, and beyond.
Thank you to Isabel Berwick and @FT for hosting such an important conversation about bridging the gap between education and employment.

One year since our visit to @10DowningStreet🗓️
When @LewisHamilton met with Prime Minister @Keir_Starmer, the focus was clear: tackling educational inequality and creating better outcomes for young people.
Since then, Mission 44 has continued to invest in and advocate for inclusive education, supporting initiatives that help young people overcome barriers to opportunity, championing educators and organisations driving change, and building partnerships that create more equitable pathways into future careers 🌟
While there's still much more to do, we're encouraged by the momentum being built in the inclusive education space and grateful to the young people, partners, and advocates helping drive change forward every day.

The @educationgovuk Milburn report on Young People and Work makes it clear that youth disengagement is not the fault of young people - it is a systemic problem. At Mission 44, we agree.
While employers are a vital part of the solution, education demands urgent attention too. If young people are disengaging from school years before entering the labour market, employment interventions alone cannot solve the problem.
And although the review refers to a “lost generation”, this crisis is not experienced equally. Ethnic minority students, young people from low-income backgrounds and other marginalised groups are disproportionately affected by exclusion, absence and disengagement.
In our latest blog, @LeiciaFeare, Mission 44's Associate Director of Advocacy and Campaigns, outlines why tackling this crisis means listening to young people and building systems that work for all young people, not just some: https://t.co/pMHJ8dRMA7
📽️ A powerful moment from our recent school visit with @LewisHamilton, where we sat down with our partners and young people they support for an important conversation about the work being done to build a more inclusive education system.
We were delighted to hear from @MilkHoneyBees founder @Ebinehita_ and student Liliana about the impact of the H.E.R. Space Programme, which is creating more inclusive environments in schools and we are proud to support.
@msybibi, Project Lead for the Increasing Diversity in ITT project, delivered in partnership with @Being_Luminary, @CharteredColl and @ChilternLT, also shared impactful updates on the progress of our work to transform teacher recruitment practices.

We’re proud to be working with CAPE to provide transformative tuition and mentoring services that support young people to thrive in education 💡
In this blog, @MentorHus, CEO & Founder of CAPE, shares his perspective on what has made our partnership so successful, and why having a flexible, child-led approach is key to trusted adult work: https://t.co/VD7HhqVvZs
🤝 In 2022, we started working with @capementors, a grassroots tuition and mentoring charity led by @MentorHus.
📈 Since then, CAPE has grown from one staff member to eight and is supporting many more young people across London to thrive in school and reach their full potential.
We’re delighted to be supporting the work of CAPE, whose tuition and mentoring services are truly transformative, offering a student-led, flexible approach that fits around the needs of each young person they work with.
🎥 In this film, Mission 44 Impact Manager, Beatrice, reflects on why we’re committed to supporting historically underfunded organisations, while students Selma and Taivian highlight why CAPE’s mentoring is so impactful.
