Hi I'm Ros. I make videos about historical gaming - exploring, celebrating and explaining the historical stuff that inspires and turns up in video games.
I`m crying 🇦🇷 tears the size of pineapple chunks here!!!Stupendously magesteeeerial, team performance by Arg-en-TINA!! & #Messi??? bringing him to a football match is like bringing a machine gun to a knife fight! gonna be some serious loving going on in Buenos Aires tonight🥰
While we wait for the next stage of the real-time strategy game renaissance, let's look back at some of the older base-builders and squad-clickers you might have missed. https://t.co/plxQyXkMN6
I'm glad to say the Time Team episode which I had the honour of helping out on, has just been uploaded to TT's offical YouTube channel. At 7.55 you can see me digging in the background!

You think playing Elden Ring is hard? Try recording it archaeologically!
That’s what me and @mtrc did in our paper ‘The Dark Souls of Archaeology: Recording Elden Ring’

@clmorgan @DrOliBetts @pastatplaylab Archaeology (that's my background) gives a great material culture-focused view on games set in the past and lets us imagine what less tangible things looked like - like the arachnologist's favourite, omni purpose area 'rituals'. 😉
@DrOliBetts @curatorian Games have a great ability to bring to life not only all the stuff we know about, like the sights and the sounds of the time but also to explore all the stuff our ancestors perceived as real or influential in their world, like mythology, or the importance of rituals and beliefs.
@DrOliBetts Absolutely right! I've made a series of videos playing through single levels in games looking at the view they present on specific areas of history. Call of Duty games seem to be the best format for me. Definitely an area that's under appreciated but expanding.
@GoblinzPub really looking forward to the full release of new 4X game Ozymadias (developed by @SecretGamesCo). I made a brief video preview - see link below. Excellent demo available to download on Steam now. #Ozymandias#4X#historygaming
@SecretGamesCo I made a video preview of your excellent upcoming 4X strategy game Ozymandias (demo available on Steam). Definitely worth checking out if you're into 4X games, especially if, like me, you're a history fan! Looking forward to the full release! #4X#Ozymandias
@BurdenOfCommand Hi Luke, thanks! I'm loving the look of your game. Can't wait for release and I'll definitively be featuring it on the channel! Do you have any idea when it'll be out or released in Early Access?
Thanks for the blog link, really interesting!
@fist_drunken loving the demo for your upcoming horror game They Are Here. Scared the absolute bejesus out of me! I made a little video covering it and the odd history of alien abduction that inspires the game. Did you know about this stuff? #theyarehere#upcominggames#horror
