Military service comes with sacrifice, risk, and a commitment to something bigger than oneself. But what commitments should our nation make in return? As policymakers debate federal spending priorities, an important question remains: what does America owe those who served?

This month's survey explores veterans' benefits, federal spending priorities, government accountability, and the trust in the commitments made to service members and veterans.

Whether you're a veteran, military family member, caregiver, survivor, or supporter, your perspective matters.

Help ensure the voices of the veteran community are heard. Take the survey: https://t.co/lhs4ANDL2p

Where were you on September 11, 2001?

Some memories never fade.

For many Americans, it's a question they'll never forget. These veterans remember exactly where they were when they learned America was under attack. They remember the fear, the confusion, the anger, and the overwhelming sense that life had changed in an instant.

This isn't just a story about September 11. It's about what came after. It's about the men and women who felt called to serve and the lasting impact that day continues to have more than two decades later.

Take a moment to listen, reflect, and remember. Where were you on September 11, 2001?

We asked veterans what matters most. Not everyone agreed.

Some supported the Take Care of America's Veterans Act. Some opposed it. Some were familiar with the legislation. Others were hearing about it for the first time.

But that's not what stood out most.

What stood out was how often veterans came back to the same concerns: getting timely access to care, supporting mental health, caring for families and caregivers, navigating the transition from military service, and ensuring benefits reflect the sacrifices they made.

More than 1,000 veterans from all 50 states took the time to share their perspectives with us. They didn't participate because they enjoy taking surveys. They participated because these issues affect their daily lives.

Their healthcare. Their families. Their futures.

Behind every response is someone trying to navigate life after service. Someone waiting for care. Someone supporting a spouse, parent, child, or caregiver. Someone hoping their voice will make a difference for the next generation of veterans.

The numbers tell an important story:

• 71% support the Take Care of America's Veterans Act.
• 92% support protecting timely access standards for VA care.
• 91% support directing funding toward veteran suicide prevention.
• 95% support the Major Richard Star Act.

But the most important takeaway isn't a percentage—it's that veterans are still taking the time to speak up about the issues affecting their lives, families, and futures. As leaders, advocates, and supporters, our responsibility is to listen.

Which type of support outside the healthcare system would you be most likely to participate in? That is one of the questions our June survey asks.

We know that veterans don’t spend most of their lives inside healthcare systems. They spend it at work, at home, in their communities, around the people and routines that shape their everyday lives.

That’s why this survey explores what helps veterans maintain stability after service. We are listening to what actually helps you stay stable after your service.

We want you to say what matters.

Make your voice count. Take this short and fast (only 5 question) survey: https://t.co/lhs4ANDL2p

HBOT is getting a lot of attention in the veteran space right now. But people still have questions.

This Town Hall is about real conversations—recovery, brain health, and what veterans are dealing with after service.

Before today, were you aware that the federal government is researching ibogaine as a potential treatment for serious mental illness? Yes or no?

This is one of the questions in our May Veteran Voices Survey, which asks veterans how Executive Order 14401 and emerging treatments for PTSD, TBI, and related conditions should move from research to real‑world access.

If you have an opinion, take the survey and help shape what comes next for other veterans.

Nearly 9 in 10 respondents say that waiting for help negatively affected their well‑being.

This survey focuses on those early moments before care begins.
