To clarify, altho "Provisional" remains in the title of Security Council's Rules of Procedure, they were fully & legally adopted on 17 Jan. 1946 & are as legally binding as those of GA or ECOSOC.
"Provisional" was kept to signal further attn might be given to SC's unique voting.
Denmark’s Programme of Work for the UN Security Council has been adopted for the month of August.

Pleased to have, together with the President of the @UN General Assembly, H.E. Annalena Baerbock (@UN_PGA), signed the joint letter launching the process to select the next UN Secretary-General, another important milestone of Sierra Leone’s Security Council November presidency.
Negotiations in the Security Council were led by the Russian Federation on behalf of the P5 and by Denmark on behalf of the E10. I thank them, and all Council members, for the constructive engagement that enabled the early signing of the letter.
#Palau hailed the ICJ's climate change advisory opinion as “a landmark for intergenerational justice.”

🔹 Called for implementation of the opinion’s findings in national & international policy
Yesterday the UN GA debated the Report of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), under Agenda Item 73.
The meeting reflected growing reliance on the Court amid global crises & reaffirmed the centrality of international law in the UN’s 80th year.
