Initial election results for Missoula County will be available sometime after 8 p.m. at https://t.co/UZeKTIql6K
Per state law, the Elections Office can't release initial results until after everyone still in line to vote at 8 p.m. has voted.
By “bad time,” I mean you have to park and get out of your car to drop your ballot off, and parking is extremely limited. Save yourself the hassle and go to one of the drive-thru options!
Missoula Co., if you still need to return your ballot and you try to do that at the Elections Center, you’re gonna have a bad time. It’s packed with folks registering to vote. Go to McCormick Park (right down the street!) or the drop-off on Russell between Fairgrounds and YMCA
Absentee voters who need to drop off their ballots on Election Day can go to one of the following locations on Tuesday, Nov. 5 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.:
· McCormick Park - 600 Cregg Lane
· Russell Street - between YMCA and the Fairgrounds
· Any polling place
A mill is a unit of taxation equal to one thousandth of a dollar per $1 of assessed property value. Duh.
Luckily, you don't have to know what a mill is to understand your property tax bill, which are hitting mailboxes and are online now at https://t.co/W4YyHj9mBi
@EllieHill It was at about 40% a week before the election in 2022. I don’t have numbers offhand for one week out for earlier elections (and I’m not going to bug our busy election folks about it). 2020 was an outlier with it being all-mail, so probably not an apt comparison anyway.
50% of ballots in Missoula Co. have been returned! Still need to drop yours off? Take it to the secure 24/7 drop box at the Elections Center up until Nov. 5. If you wait until Election Day, then drop it off at the Fairgrounds or McCormick Park. https://t.co/mljOGIKFEB
