🐦 Over 55,000,000 birds are predicted to cross Kansas and Missouri tonight during their annual spring migration northward. These migratory birds will be flying overnight at altitudes between 1,000 and 3,000 feet above the ground. While it's unlikely you'll see them, you may have a lot more chirping during the predawn hours—this is why! The peak dates for spring migration in Kansas and Missouri are between May 3 and May 9.
💡 Remember, birds migrate at night, so please turn off your lights tonight to help prevent collisions with buildings.
