On #ThisDayInHistory in 1963, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. penned an open letter now known as his “Letter from Birmingham Jail,” a full-throated defense of the Birmingham protests campaign that is now regarded as one of the greatest texts of the civil rights movement.
Got some “Good Old Days” vibes when I covered 6th grade US History at #DMSGens today. I even remember what activities I used to teach Native American Locations (SOL US3b&c). @Missstteaches’ activities were fantastic! #DontBeAfraidToBeAwesome#MUSTbesuccessful
Day 11: So appreciative of her, she is very smart and catches on quickly! Not only this, but she ensures that those around her are able to succeed too!! #DMSGens
Day 7: I didn’t check everything off my list today, BUT honestly I’m feeling accomplished that I made it through the week and prepared to introduce The Civil War Monday. #DMSGens
Day 9: As first year middle school teachers at different schools we are busy and don’t see each other often, but it’s great to have someone to share my highs and lows with! #DMSGens
Day 6: My why is for this high school graduate who had no idea how challenging the next four years would be...and now wants to make sure her students to know that it’s okay to fail as long as you’re learning and trying #DMSGens @dcpsmoss
