UPDATE: The SIU has obtained a preservation order against a Malawian born businessman, Fumu Mkalira Msiska who together with his South African wife, Gladness Msiska Mkhonto and brother in law, Bongani Mkhonto registered 773 ghost workers and defrauded the UIF TERS fund during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the process, they scored R26 million and bought luxury properties in Middelburg, White River, and Pretoria. They also bought luxury vehicles like BMW, Mercedes Benz, Land Rover and Toyota Fortuner.
They used stolen identities, contact details, and addresses of unknown people to lodge the claims.
One of their victims was a woman from KwaZulu-Natal who wanted to claim her UIF benefits, but found that a company she had never worked from called A&F Consulting had claimed all her contributions.

He asked his little brother to distract his parents while sneaking me into his room. We managed to make it to the room without a trace. We over slept shem, our plan was to wake up atleast at half past three and leave the house by four. It was already 5 o'clock and his mom was busy sweeping the yard. He went outside to check and we all know mothers, she had given him a task of burning the leaves. Mo guy didn't know what to do with himself cause the more time moved, the more our chances of sneaking out was becoming very slim. He finally escaped and came back to the room. "Dress quickly so we can go out through the window" he said. Shame he was panicking cause his mom kept calling him, before we knew it. She was walking on the corridor coming to him room....jeeeerrrrr!
Bathong, I had to fit into a 2 door wardrobe to hide. That time there were work overalls and safety boots stashed in there smelling like boiled eggs mixed with cabbage. My sinuses busy telling me to sneeze while his mom was in the room talking too much!
Luckily she went out of the room before I sneezed. Just when it was time to go, she was sitting at the front porch busying drinking rooibos tea. Mo guy decided I should just use the window cause the back door was locked and his mom had the keys. Just when one leg was out of the window, I saw the hands hold a chair, i didn't have to look who it was so i stepped on it. Bathong, only to find it was his Dad helping us out, I've never been so embarrassed
