It’s not some random stranger. if a doctor- who is a stranger- gives me a medical opinion, I’ll listen but I don’t have to do what that Dr says.

@BitchesUseless @Starl0rdy_ @Kisa_Myu @gardngn0me Hopefully that harmful perception is changing with younger generations. I live in Seattle so definitely a progressive bubble, but therapy is viewed as a good thing by my peers. Not a stitch of negative stigma.
It’s a gym membership for your mind.

@Starl0rdy_ @Kisa_Myu @gardngn0me Just as a way to attempt to quantify “growth” 1/3 of therapy clients are male, 2/3 female. I think there’s definitely cultural shunning of men having emotions, and addressing emotions, I feel like this is part of why OP made post. US society doesn’t allow men to be fragile humans

That’s subjective.
What’s good to one person might not be good for another.
I’ve grown to become sober- for me thats a good thing, but to someone else that might not be good,maybe for them social drinking is an important part of socializing/life.

It’s beyond messed up. It takes a real man to cry openly over something beautiful but that’s not how many view it :(

All mostly good men, but are they in therapy to be better? Are they going to seminars? Becoming sober? On health quests? Very rarely compared to ladies

@TheChrisLapakko Ok so here’s a real pooper- I’m pretty sure they have jurisdiction 100 miles from any border- this includes coastline. So they can prettymuch do whatever they want because so much of the US population lives on coasts or near borders. It’s insanity.
