I came home from the hospital after having a minor surgery. The doctor said no lifting, no bending, and plenty of rest for a few days.
That evening I asked my husband if he could carry the laundry basket upstairs.
He sighed dramatically and said, “You act like you’re made of glass.”
I carried it myself.
Halfway up the stairs my incision started bleeding through the bandage.
When he saw it, he said, “Well, if it was that serious, you should’ve told me.”
I stared at him wondering how much clearer “the doctor said I can’t lift anything” could possibly have been.
I don't get these tweets. Why the resentment and anger?
Right, this is my experience of family life.
My Mum did everything. She had that attention to detail. She planned it all. Step by step with excruciating precision. She knew what would be on my Christmas list before I even imagined it.
And we got everything we ever wanted and needed. At her command.
But. And its a big but I cannot lie, you other brothers and sisters raised in intact families can't deny....whose money was she spending? Where did the funds that she used to create magic come from?
My Father, of course.
So its teamwork you see. Father provides the money and Mother creates the magic.
For us brats.
Me and thee.
That's how it goes. In the most optimal conditions!
If two people are very drunk and something happens, the legal and social consequences often fall more heavily on the male, even in mutual situations.
If ability to judge is compromised. Mutual intoxication can create legal nightmares even when both thought it was mutual.
First time residing in Joburg and already I want to go home, yhuu the classism, the bullying, wanting to show off what you have, its survival of the boaster there. Some lady wanted to put me below her level and tried to wipe her camera with my shirt, sies!
Women excuse bad decisions and treating people horribly behind alcohol, they know very well what they are doing but the will lie and say it was the alcohol.
Saw a post where a girl said if men keep their money and women keep their body, who will beg first?
Truth is, the most important thing in this world is money, your landlord won’t chase you out of the house just because you’re horny, the hospital won’t choose not to treat your mom just because you’re horny, but you see lack of money? Your body won’t be able to save you when you start suffering.
People always disrespect money, mostly women and it makes me laugh.
“All they bring to the table is just money” “apart from money, what else do you bring to the table?”
That same money you’re trying to talk low about, same money you don’t have, you know what it takes to have it? The amount of work required to make and keep it?
The women can keep their body, while we men keep our money. They can text us once they go hungry tho.
Don’t report us - we’ll murder you.
Don’t hold us accountable - we’ll murder you.
Don’t threaten our jobs - we’ll murder you.
Don’t tell us we can speak to you - we’ll murder you.
Don’t tell us we can’t get your number illegally - we’ll murder you.
Just let us be men.
A guy once asked me asked me out persistently and I always told him I'm not interested. He would try figure out the reasons why and told me nothing can make me say no unless I have a man. So...
I saw a TikTok video where someone said a girlfriend shouldn’t use her boyfriend as an excuse to turn other men down. She should simply say no, without adding “I have a boyfriend.”
