Een volger heeft in de comments van mijn vorige post over Khadaffi een docu gepost over de aanleg van de waterpijplijn van de Sahara tot Libië en van de ondergrondse waterbasins in Libië zelf.

Ik post deze schitterende docu zodat jullie ze allemaal kunnen bekijken. Sterk staaltje technologie.

Fase 1 van de bouw is begonnen in 1984 en in gebruik genomen in 1991. Fase 2 werd beëindigd in 1996. Beide installaties voorzien nog steeds 70% van het water voor heel Libië.

Er was ook een fase 3 en 4 voorzien maar door de moord op de leider Khadaffi is dit stil gevallen.
In 2011 heeft NATO de waterpijplijn installaties gebombardeerd (! ). Door het Westen gefinancierde rebellen hebben bepaalde knooppunten van de installaties bezet en beheersen het water waardoor bepaalde steden afgesneden zijn.

Zo doen ze dat. Zelfs het levensnoodzakelijke water werd het Lybische volk niet gegund.
