I’m on a high speed train from Madrid to Barcelona with actual functioning wifi, air conditioning, a cafeteria and TV screens with maps of the journey. It was not only on time but is due to arrive 10mins early… and the best bit? The ticket cost ~£18 😭 the UK could NEVER

Great to see @ianwalker in this fascinating video. There's more to this such as needing a car to access services, especially if you live rurally. Worse is that car ownership is seemingly baked in to new build estates with little infrastructure for anyone who wants to go car free.
