Both highly touted coming into league with massive popularity. Both possess top end talents to be one of the leagues best but often injured.

Despite the incredible talent, both are mid careers and have zero All-NBA/Pro teams to show for it.

@JonesOnTheNBA Another factor could be if a player chose Lakers/Knicks as example for the market not only is there a potential of leaving money on table if that big market team doesn’t have space but also the opportunity to shine with the keys day one which can limit earnings in 2nd deal

No draft actually encourages franchises to up their level and competency to attract players
