@ShannonMFHill No, because the later vote counts leaned progressive and progressive voters want their neighbors to have healthcare, which is what the sales tax increase supported. Not shocking.
@dcopechatter Dem voter here, I had a ballot rejected for signature on a primary in 2022. Yes, they do check but the signature is on the outside of the envelope and rejected before opening.
@Kalalautrekker@E_Barcohana You forget most of Raman voters are also progressive, and the tax increase was to supplement healthcare programs. Progressive voters are generally very in favor of universal healthcare.
@SoCalRuss1983 Dem voter here! I had my primary ballot rejected in 2022 for signature. I did a sort of half signature like my credit card slips thinking it wasn’t a huge deal vs. what’s on my license. They do actually verify!
@amyforsandiego I’m a Dem voter and my primary ballot got rejected in 2022 for matching signature. I did a half, sloppy signature like how I sign my credit card slips compared to my license signature. They do actually verify.
@1776usapatriot@bennyjohnson They’re not “allowing” anything. They literally can’t find evidence to support anything because it’s NOT ACTUALLY HAPPENING.
@A2079Mark@bennyjohnson@RealDeanCain Because this city is 75% Democrats? I know it’s hard to believe if you don’t live here and aren’t in the know, but like…just look at the voting trends from the last I don’t know, 40 years.
@BasedInOh@bennyjohnson Because LA is a city of activists who coalesced around Raman at the final hour to ensure a two-dem runoff. So many were holding their ballots seeing which way the tides were turning. As Pratt Fever increased, it was all encouragement on social media groups to vote Raman.
@BelissaCohen@filchyboy@BrittRooted Um, try again. With a Bass/Raman runoff there will be LOTS of campaigning. The Bass camp is scared now, trust. Bass isn’t overly popular in LA, I wouldn’t be surprised if Nithya wins or it’s a very tight race. Bass would have loved a Pratt runoff, she would have demolished him.
@Seigemachine@lalovestrump But it’s not a coincidence that LA is 75% majority Democrat. Why is everyone so shocked Pratt won’t make it to the runoff in a heavily Dem city? Bass WANTS Pratt to qualify as she would demolish him but she’s overall not that popular so progressives coalesced behind Raman.
@CollinMcrockin@CaliMAGABarbie So you admit that there aren’t many Republican voters in California. Why are you so surprised the Dems are winning then? A bit contradictory.
@CherylClar22531@CaliMAGABarbie Yes, they’re run through a machine. There are literally federal DA’s at Trump’s behest in LA reviewing. Funny, they haven’t found anything…wonder why that is. 🤔
