They used a suicide threat to get Elon Musk’s signature.

COVID. Mass confusion. His older son still a minor. California required both parents on the papers. He has said nobody explained that puberty blockers were sterilization drugs.

Jordan Peterson called the threat a lie from the outset. Elon called the people pushing it evil — and said they belong in prison.

Then he said the part they still cannot spin:
“I lost my son, essentially. They call it deadnaming for a reason. My son Xavier is dead, k*lled by the woke mind virus.”

“So I vowed to destroy the woke mind virus after that.”

That is the origin story. Not a rebrand. Not a midlife conversion.

In June 2022, after he turned 18, a Los Angeles court approved the name change and the cut-off. Two years later Gavin Newsom signed a law so California schools cannot be required to tell parents if a child changes gender at school. Musk called it the final straw and moved SpaceX and X headquarters out of the state.

They didn’t lose him in an argument. They took his son first.
