Today was my last day interning at BOA Editions. The staff members were incredibly supportive and patient in delegating tasks and answering questions. I’m so grateful to have such a prestigious press located in my own neighborhood.
This fall, I accepted an internship at BOA Editions in Rochester, New York. So thankful for the chance to work in the publishing industry from my very own community.

This morning, I had the honor and privledge of leading two “Starting Stories” workshops at Mercy High School as a part of their Arts Fest. I cherish the space to encourage young people to explore their ideas and questions in a creative way.

I’m honored that my short story “Baby Steps” was featured in the newest issue of my alma mater’s literary journal “Italics Mine”. Very grateful for this opportunity to leave a footprint of my writing behind and to see my work in print.

I’m fascinated in all the ways my journaling lesson plans and my fiction intensive lesson plans parallel in structure.
Writing is about the human experience. If you’re not writing about the things that keep you up at night, then what drives you to write? #WritingCommunity
