@FennellJW @bobbobbobing In fact, IIRC in Enemy Coast Ahead, Guy Gibson stated that when he was flying Beaufighter night fighters, on a break from Bomber Command, some pilots were bemoaning it's flying/landing characteristics...until one was landed perfectly by an ATS delivery girl 😁

@ReassessHistory I've heard different comments on this book. Some parts little detail... IIRC no or scant mention of start of Bluecoat when 6GTB broke through & provided hard shoulder that allowed 11AD & GAD to exploit. Maybe that's just me being picky 😁

@RAF_Luton Given that some aircraft in WW2 were simply polished aluminum instead of camo to reduce weight & increase speed, I hope that a good quality paint stripper is applied between colour changes to avoid weight issues. 😁
