I made 3 loaves of pumpkin bread, and confirmed my worst fear: there really is no way to make my moms pumpkin bread recipe taste the same without 1 cup of canola oil and 3 cups of sugar.
The killer is the canola oil though. I’ve tried to use apple sauce, but it just doesn’t have the same level of moisture. There’s a reason that perfection tastes perfect, and you can’t make it healthier and keep it perfect.
Throw in everyone working on the frontlines of this mess, including anyone making lattes, delivering dinners, checking you out at the grocery store. Anyone with student loans that has been deemed “essential” should have their loans to wiped out tomorrow.
@PJdoesEngage Will do! Pretty sure it was just normal flu + allergies + stress, so sadly I don't think I'm immune lol. Its funny, at the time you hope you don't have it, but in hindsight you wish you had.
Today is my last official day as an IBMer (although unofficially I left in July). Definitely bittersweet, but super excited about what's in front of us @GoAcoustic!
Received an email from a financial services firm this afternoon
A 953 word novella about COVID-19 from someone at the company who signed only with his first name. I assume he is the CEO.
Why has common sense and best practices suddenly been lost and forgotten?
Yo marketers,
Go look at your milestone emails right now—bdays, anniversaries, etc. If they have promo expirations, extend them. Tone-deaf given current events, rewrite them. CTA offline, it shouldn’t be. Context matters, especially now.
Thx,
Marketer whose bday is today.
Dude in front of me has 11 large containers of arugula, a rotisserie chicken and literally nothing else. Turns to me and goes “are they always this busy on Fridays?”
I have so many questions... #COVID19
I used to have a weird level of OCD about putting anything not organic in my body. Now? I'm just settling for any food that has had to go through the fewest hands to get to me in the last 14 days. Spray it with pesticides, coat it in poison. Whatev. Just please don't touch it.🙏🏻
@RichardZervakos Have to assume the number of people with the virus in the US is at least twice what’s been reported, right? 1) uninsured/underinsured people still going to work and 2) not enough tests to even confirm if you DO have it
@mcnabb_jenny @jacquieHW @jbarro Letchworth State Park is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been- we used to go every year when we’d visit my grandparents. It’s well worth a trip
