@Bramapp313@AaronBastani As stated in one of these tweets, at the route of it "gammon" has everything to do with lifestyle, ignorance, privilege and bigotry,.. and really nothing to do with skin colour. White people call other white people "gammon" more than any other group does. Think a little.
86% of UK waterways are of poor ecological standard. Our schools & hospitals are crumbling. We’ve lost our libraries, post offices & Sure Start centres. 3,000 bus routes have been axed & we’ve the most expensive uni education system in the world. Our pension is the lowest in Europe & as is the number of public holidays we get. Our trains are the most expensive in Europe & our energy costs are also the highest in Europe. Wages are lower today than they were in 2008, 15 years ago. 20 million of our citizens live in fuel poverty & 10 million live in food insecurity. Our age of retirement is rising and our life expectancy is falling. 10 million UK citizens are currently on an NHS waiting list across the UK.
There is no polite way to couch this so I am obliged to speak frankly. The UK has descended into a retrograde backward nation where people survive, not thrive.
We have allowed a political class to put their wealth before our health.
At the next election, no candidate with a realistic prospect of becoming Prime Minister is even offering to change any of this. We are being offered more of the same from now until 2029.
It’s hard to say what we be left of society by then.
Rishi Sunak has claimed that to pay a 10% pay rise to all public sector employees will cost each household in the UK £1,000. This is what I call CRAp - which stands for a ‘completely rubbish approximation’ to the truth. Let me explain…a thread…
She was groomed by dark-money lobby groups working for Big Tobacco, Big Oil and foreign oligarchs. Now Liz Truss is in office and trashing this country on their behalf.
@fullyautodrip @DeBruyn44055564 Aye, and if he carries on at his current hit-rate (impossible, surely?) he would be on 156 goals in 89 games for City. See his point?
Liz Truss elected to lead the country by 81,326 votes.
Postal workers voting for strike action 85,100.
Remember that when they come at unions about democracy in the coming days.
I see we truly have cleared out Boris Johnson's era by following it up with two of his most fierce loyalists. Both let Pincher waltz into his job, both defended Johnson on Partygate, both have overseen all the services currently crumbling. Bravo Tory MPs you've played a blinder
Wow! Wow! Wow! This is the most incredible @UKLabour video I have ever seen. It completely eviscerates 12 years of conservative Government. And what is so astonishing about it is it’s all done by Conservative MP’s! It should be playing on a loop
@bobwhitermw @sammyd60 @MattWestern_ As far as I'm concerned you're arguing the same point. It's implied this is what a Tory Gov/Council might approve (or approve of) in a Labour constituency.
@AntPar01 @xpinkbitch @InteleonAKABlue @ToryFibs They are testing now, but only a fraction of their pupils, and in some schools this only came online in the last week. It wasn’t up and running on the one day that larger numbers of kids were back in school, and therefore doesn’t account for the rise in cases at this time. 2/2
@AntPar01 @xpinkbitch @InteleonAKABlue @ToryFibs They weren't testing kids in schools...
Not prior to Christmas anyway. It "launched" at the start of term - with 24hrs notice, and no conceivable plan for how. Those creases have had to be slowly ironed out by the schools. 1/2
