@Billgetzfroggy I think so, but I think this is the best BYU team Utah has faced. So hard to compare to teams from prior generations and conferences b/c of talent, coaching, resources etc. But IMO both are the best teams each school has had. Not much disparity.
@dillard_doug I'm more of a positive re-enforcement kinda guy. I'd rather etch our place in the top four by winning out. Play to win. Don't play "to not lose".
@XRPBYU Still comes comes down to the big men up front and the RB’s to give Bear time in the pocket. But I like Legend and Kasper in 1v1 matchups. May not win every snap, but they’ll get their fair share.
@AKAllTheWay08@XRPBYU Love Kasper, but agree. Suspect ball security all year. How does one get to this level of football without already changing that poor habit?
@dillard_doug I honestly think A-rod is careful about how much stuff he puts on film. Not that none of it is out there, but the frequency and tendency to go to certain plays is what is scouted. I think he hopes to have opportunities for set this up for critical times/big games.
@saltcitysportut You're arguments can be made, for sure. I think TE might be closer than we think and DB's. Tre Alexander has been lock down this year. Either way, top 10 Holy War on prime time. Don't pinch me. I don't wanna wake up. Great time for CFB in Utah!
@jaromjordan Great point. BYU absolutely has it in them. However, and this is pure speculation, something tells me Notre Dame may have underestimated BYU, whereas with the Holy War, I doubt that happens with Utah.
@JonSwiftUCF Totally understandable. But if you’re not honestly open to potential correction/clarification regarding religious beliefs of the sponsoring institution of the football program in question, then maybe pause on posting.
@CFBKnights As a member of the LDS faith, I don’t get offended at ignorant comments being made at sporting events like this. But how do we know when it crosses the line into bigotry? But re: policing it… refs shouldn’t have to deal with that.
@travelingflying Tithing is a matter of exercising faith in your belief that God will do more good for His children with the funds. It’s not about the money as much as it is that exercise of faith and faithfully supporting the church leadership that oversees the management.
@_bro_hen I 100% disagreed with your initial take/comments on the OP, and still have a hard time seeing how you and others can't just take the goodness and intention from his personal take. BUT the backlash and vitriol from so many is even more disgusting. You seem genuine. I'm sorry.
@BYUinsider I didn't get that from it. I got, "we made some great plays", they got us on a few with athletes being athletes", we had the right calls but misalignments", and "we didn't tackle and finish on key plays" (see: 3rd and 17). I'm confident they will adjust.
@BYUSportsNation I love Glasker, but the fact that there was ZERO attempt to wrap up on 3rd and 17 was the biggest negative swing play. Solidified? Maybe not, but absolutely crushed momentum. Led to their only score in the second half.
@chrispbacon0502@bradypete3@tjmcaulay A. he was already finished and both feet had been on the ground.
B. he's lefty so the initial contact was not on the plant leg
@_bro_hen@treysonbourguet No one is making that comparison. He's simply reminding us that lots of good can come after horribly dark times. It's not complicated. The fact that a Christian kid posted it, and that he plays for a faith based institution seems too much for some people. That is a sad commentary
