Cymru captain Ben Davies said: “It is fantastic that Cliff Jones is being recognised for his incredible contribution to both club and international football. He is recognised as one of the true greats of the game at both Swansea and Tottenham and of course with Wales whom he represented at the 1958 World Cup.
“I was lucky enough to meet him when I first arrived at Spurs, where I forged a close bond with him and his wife, who often had me round to the house, and I’d hear amazing stories about his life and football career.
“To have him present me with my 100th cap was an absolute honour. I am so proud that he has been recognised with an MBE. Congratulations. Llongyfarchiadau.”
Eom getting a yellow for "diving"
Last game ref gave a penalty when it clearly wasnt, and now a yellow card for a dive when that clearly wasnt, my god the quality of refereeing in the championship is absolutely dreadful
@NeathJack1 Last game, ref was on their team, this game, on our team…i think what annoys me is the lack of consistency with the refereeing in the championship
@NeathJack1 What are the chances that their player arrives on the line in time to keep it out, and they score 15 seconds later, football for welsh sides are cursed at the moment
Israel/US have bombed the B1 Bridge in Karaj, a monumental project that connected Tehran with northern regions of the country, including the Caspian Sea. A major transportation artery. We are witnessing war crimes in real time. Again and again and again.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion of course, but I do think it’s very reactionary from those to be questioning Vitor Matos after last night.
We were relegation threatened when he arrived. Yesterday, there was talk about fighting for a play-off spot and going 7th.
Done brilliant since he’s come in. Give him a full pre-season, and to put his own stamp on the squad in the summer window, and we’ll be good to go under him.
Vitor Matos’ barmy army. 🦢🇵🇹
