One thing that really stood out today during day 2:
Drew Allar.
My biggest knock on him coming out of Penn State was his processing abilities (specifically when under pressure), his inconsistency with footwork, coverage recognition and rushed decisions.
However, these are fixable with proper coaching, which is why I’m grateful he fell to our organization.
He possesses high level ball security and has incredible arm talent, of which cannot be learned. You either have that ability or you don’t. He does.
Listen, I understand it’s early. But, you can’t sit there and tell this kid can’t be developed into a potential franchise QB.
If he fixes those weaknesses, this kid has it.
Time will tell, but I’ve loved what I’ve seen thus far.
He’s become far more comfortable and that’s due to Mike McCarthy.
Give big fella a chance as well.
I think we’re going to be pleasantly surprised and are going to see a version of the Pittsburgh Steelers we haven’t seen in years.
I’m incredibly fired up and you should be as well.
LFG baby.
@Shawnf98@DinkleBurghh This is a terrible draft pick. Ignore these “highlights” and just focus on preseason. But even then is a strange gage cause he’s not gonna go against a teams 1/2 string defense
He didn’t just have an ACL surgery, he had his LCL repaired too which is critical to his mobile style of play. If he looks bad for a few weeks and plays mostly shotgun, don’t be surprised
@jackgalbraith@northsiden0tch Fuck off jack. Do you not watch the games? He’s a nearly automatic out for the whole year. Cherry picking the stat doesn’t matter. Congrats on getting your 5 cents for your shitty tweet
@JaydenC68310686@steelers@BordasLaw Do you watch sports or follow college football? Just because you can throw the ball far doesn’t mean you can be a qb in the nfl
@steelers@AllarDrew I don’t wish ill for anyone trying to follow their dreams but I’m so upset this team is letting him try his dreams here. Complete waste of a pick and we’ll continue to lose in the first round 😢
