Q: What was missing before you joined the program?
I was doing well on my own, three years in, with a strong social media presence, building a brand in the lake communities along the New York–New Jersey border. But my business was feast or famine. I’d pour everything into one client, close the deal, and then look around, wondering where the next one was coming from.
On top of that, I was working for a broker who offered zero support. I’d wait weeks just to get an answer to a question and would lose clients as a result. eXp Realty and the Accelerator program are night and day. I can go into eXp World and connect with a broker from New York or New Jersey in a minute. That kind of access changes everything.
Q: What’s the structure of Agent Accelerator like week-to-week?
There are daily fifteen-minute huddles Monday through Thursday, and the advice you get is so helpful. You meet with your coach twice a month, and your leads can be pulled at any time, so there’s real accountability built in.
Receiving Zillow leads has also been so helpful. One of the keys to success is actively following up with leads and progressing them through the funnel, not just sitting on them. Once I understood that, everything clicked. The more engaged you are, the more leads come your way. I’ve gotten 16 Zillow tour leads so far, and the momentum keeps building.
Q: What’s been the biggest shift in how you work?
Honestly? Follow-Up Boss. Before the program, I was running on sticky notes and desktop files that I couldn’t decode a week later. Now, my most relevant leads pop up, I’m prompted to act, and I’m being trained on systems that actually work. I wouldn’t have done it any other way on my own.
The coaching has been just as valuable. Small tweaks make a huge difference. Oriana, one of the coaches, once pointed out that I was showing up to tours without backup listings, and that simple change alone has transformed how I work with buyers. The coaches on this team have decades of experience and conversion rates most agents would dream of. I’d be a fool not to absorb everything they’re sharing.
Q: How did your philosophy on real estate change?
One thing the program drilled into me: when a lead comes in, call immediately. That person just asked for a tour from their phone. If you call within minutes, they’ll likely pick up. And in an age of AI and bots, hearing a real human voice makes an impression.
After all, real estate is personal in a way most industries aren’t. The leads coming through this program aren’t just names in a CRM, they’re people in the middle of major life moments, someone is buying their dream cottage, splitting assets after a divorce, or thinking about the next steps for a family estate. Calling them fast and treating them like humans, not transactions, is what turns a lead into a client.
Q: What would you say to agents who are on the fence about joining?
The program gives you every tool you need to succeed. The question is whether you’re going to show up and use them. Be humble. Be appreciative. And dive in. I’ve probably learned more about real estate through this program than in my entire career before it. And I came in with three years of experience, a social media following, and a strong brand. Think about what this would have meant for me starting out.
What we have in the agent accelerator program is more of a community. When another agent in my territory had a family emergency, I offered to cover his appointments. That’s the type of environment this program creates, and that’s rare in this industry.
Q: Any advice for how to make the most of the Agent Accelerator program?
Get on your desktop computer, not just the app. The full platform shows you more. Call back leads as soon as they come in. Also, be sure to show up to every huddle. And if you’re not sure what to do, ask. The team (Britney, Oriana, and Anthony) is brilliant, they’re accessible, and they genuinely want you to succeed.
The market where I am is tough right now. Low inventory, no consistency. But with Follow-Up Boss, even on slow days, I can dig into the pipeline and stay active. It keeps you in the game.
