#ChimneyRock, NC is very unique! One of the few towns named after a local staple: Chimney Rock. Mayor Peter O’Leary is the owner of Bubba O’Leary’s general store; the best in town! He loves the fresh mountain air, the new people ALWAYS visiting, and making a positive difference.

#Rutherfordton, NC was a beautiful stop! Mayor Jimmy Dancy is an American hero, who served in the army stationed in Japan. He helped build their brand new park; truly ONE OF A KIND! Mayor Dancy loves spending time with his grandson and lets him sit up in the town fire trucks! 😃

#Tryon, NC was a truly unforgettable experience thanks to Mayor Alan Peoples, an American hero! He allowed us to stay in his home and took us to his favorite restaurants in their 1960s VW Van. Tryon is home to Morris the toy horse who brings ALL locals together! #mitchellsmayors

#LaurelPark, NC is home to the Fleetwood Hotel, the hotel that never was… A pre-Great Depression project set to change the NC mountain experience forever, it was canceled in 1926 and stood empty for 10 years. Mayor Carey O’Cain is keeping the town history alive! #mitchellsmayors

#Clyde, NC has an anti-aircraft gun in the center of town… HOW AWESOME! Mayor Jim Trantham is a true blessing to this town, having helped to rebuild and rehouse so many people affected by a major flood years ago. His father was and still is his biggest hero! #mitchellsmayors #nc
