🤝 I’m told that the general sentiment from PIF was one of support at today’s Matfen meeting, following a rollercoaster season on & off the pitch for Newcastle United.
☑️ On the day news broke that PIF had pulled out of LIV Golf, the #NUFC owners were this afternoon looking ahead to the future in charge at St James’ Park.
For Newcastle to have a chance of finishing in the top 8 of Champions League clubs going into the last game should be applauded.
Yes there’s been some concerning performances this season, and last summer’s transfer window hasn’t worked as planned, but that’s a positive return in what is looking like a mostly transitional season.
Things aren’t always plain sailing, and the schedule is currently relentless, so to extend the Championship League challenge into February and possibly beyond given the turmoil of last summer is no mean feat.
