The director of southpaw ns is ghosting me and hiding my cats’ diagnosis from other adopters. My cats were with at least 6 others when I picked them up from the foster family. I have the medical and doctors statements to prove my claim
Nearly 1000 DFA members will be put to the picket lines tmr 930 am by @DalhousieU. A first for Canada's research intensive universities. Reckless move by the Board - jeopardizing the fall term, ruining relations with faculty for years. Join the picket lines to #keepdalstrong
The Liberal government has invoked Section 107 of the Canada Labour Code to end a strike by Air Canada flight attendants fighting to end unpaid work and poverty wages.
Following a resounding success last academic year, the GCI Symposium is making a triumphant return, this time in collaboration with McGill University (@greenchemmcgill)! Thread continues below… (1/6)
Thank you so much to ChemCon for having us in the EDI panel. Some phenomenal presentations and great questions! Enjoy the rest of the conference everyone! #ChemCon2023
Congratulations Mita! It's amazing to see you getting the recognition you deserve! And thank you for the shout out, I feel very honoured to have worked with such a talented, fun, supportive, and determined crew at the Dasog lab. ☺️
@DalPres resolution begins with acknowledging the valid concerns of @CUPE3912 members. 1800 academics are on week 3 of strike action. We want wage parity. We want an end to the exploitation of marker/demos who are paid $8 less for the same job as TAs.
I can’t imagine how awful it is to be on the #cupe3912 negotiating team at Dalhousie. When all I wanted to do was do an exit interview and explain my experiences as a grad student and precarious faculty member to them, it took weeks of fighting for it…
The bargaining meeting today just broke my heart. @DalhousieU reps are on the sunshine list. They yelled at us on why we should accept their offer. And when we advocated for our lowest paid @CUPE3912 members, they laughed. Let that sink in.
Hey @DalhousieU - have you considered your deal still isn’t good enough? My colleagues at similar institutions still make >$40/hr for their TAships. Your offer is <75% of that. #DalStrike I continue to stand with @CUPE3912 👏🏼
PS the tone of your email is disappointing.
@DalhousieU reps literally laughed/yelled at us on the barg table for standing up for our @CUPE3912 members. The literally gave us the same offer as yest. Why are they making moves that hurt student learning and our members when they can pay us?
@CUPE3912 bargaining team met the employer yesterday. Their solution to the M/D exploitation was to write a letter telling faculties what the roles are🤦🏽♀️. No thanks @DalhousieU, that ain’t the kind of paper thats gonna pay the bills. #DalStrike No compromise on exploitation
@ElJonesPoet @CUPE3912 I am an international student, I have seen and experienced housing and food insecurity amongst immigrants. @DalhousieU’s claims at equity is a smokescreen. If it weren’t for my incredible supervisor, research group, and department I’d have left.
As a member of the CUPE 3912 bargaining team, this is blatant hypocrisy! Dal admin has told us insulting and discriminatory reasons as to why our members don’t deserve wage parity! Step 1 of your equity plan should be paying @CUPE3912 members wages they deserve!
We’re deepening our commitment to employment equity, with a new Employment Equity Plan, which is a comprehensive, actionable plan that seeks to increase the recruitment of employees from equity-deserving groups and enhance their experience once at Dal. https://t.co/uVhGHSZ8pS
