Phyllida Barlow has died.
I so admired and respected Barlow. I am saddened thinking of all the work she destroyed because she had nowhere to store completed works or buyers for it. Saddened that she was only recognised In later life. Her contributions to art and teaching lives on

Singular Path II, oil on canvas, 160x110cm. This is first to be resolved of a conversation with red, violet & green made from pigment.

I spent the last few months working on a commissioned portrait of a lady who loves flowers. Painting to please someone else was quite challenging but I managed to finish in time for Xmas. Tomorrow I'll start a new painting - the New Year beckons.....
