@unfoldthesoul @mcck12 @danielevansplc Thank you loved the pity cats. Never thought of it that way, but I’ve told teachers who say their goal is love kids that we can love them into poverty. Blessing their hearts doesn’t help them academically The elementary teacher in me wants to make it rhyme though, “pity kitties”

Interventions work best when students are grouped by need across classrooms and staff members are assigned by expertise.  This is a much more efficient and effective way to intervene, in comparison to each teacher keeping her/his own students.

It’s easy to snap back when someone is rude, it can be harder to keep your cool & respond w/ kindness. Today someone stopped me and said “You handled that so well!” Good reminder people are always watching and even if we have a better comeback it’s just not worth it #dontstoop

Over the past 2 years, I have paid more attention to the way handwriting is taught than at any other point in my career. Handwriting seemed a fairly simple thing that pupils would just pick up with a few lessons on letter formation. I was wrong!
