🚨#BREAKING: Outrage is erupting after a Virginia mother of FIVE has been CONVICTED of a crime, sentenced to 6 months in jail, and placed on the CHILD ABUSE REGISTRY for 7 years...

...because she let her 5-year-old son walk half a mile to the pond in their GATED community to collect goose feathers.

Yes, you read that right...

Her name is Karyann Parkinson and she is probably the furthest thing from an "unfit mother" you will ever meet.

She has a degree in family science. She was a family life educator. She spent three years as a live-in behavioral specialist caring for 35 troubled girls. Her husband is a family therapist.

They moved to Virginia so she could go to William & Mary LAW SCHOOL.

This past June, eight months pregnant and studying for the bar, she took her boy Sam on their usual bike ride to the pond.

When they got home, he asked to walk back for more feathers.

Just a half-mile walk home on a sidewalk with ten feet of grass between him and the road.

Two crosswalks he'd used hundreds of times, inside a gated neighborhood with 24-hour security and a 25 mph speed limit.

She said yes, and she made lunch.

A stranger saw a kid walking and called security.

The guard marched Sam home and told this 5-year-old that his mommy did something wrong

His mother says it "scared the crap out of him."

Then the guard called the cops. Then the cop called backup.

Within minutes: THREE police cars. Three officers. A security vehicle. Two CPS workers. All at one mother's front door.

For a kid walking home on a sidewalk

CPS told her husband, "a 5-year-old child can never be unsupervised."

Never. Not for one minute. Not in a gated community. Not on a sidewalk.

That is the government's position on YOUR children.

They put her on the child abuse and neglect registry.

Seven years.

They charged her with "contributing to the delinquency of a minor."

A charge meant for parents who let their kids do drugs and skip school.

Last week, a judge convicted her and she got six months in jail, suspended and a permanent criminal record.

She can likely never volunteer at her kids' school again.

She may never be allowed to practice law.

What are we doing here????

Kids used to walk to school ALL THE TIME.

I used to ride bikes with my friends until till the streetlights came on... no one ever knew where I was and it didn't matter because this WAS AMERICA.

A North Carolina dad who was ST*BBED IN THE NECK in a Food Lion parking lot, with his kids still in the back seat...

...HELD HIS WOUND AND THEN USED HIS CAR TO RUN DOWN THE KNIFE-WIELDING MAN who began CHARGING at his wife.

He hit the gas, SMASHED INTO THE ATTACKER, and saved her!!!!

It was Sunday night, around 8:30PM.

This dad dropped his wife at the Food Lion door and pulled into a parking spot to wait, his children right there in the vehicle with him.

Out of nowhere, a man walked up and st*bbed him in the chin and neck with a knife.

he wounded husband called his wife and told her: I've been st*bbed.

He pulled up to the front to grab her and get his family OUT of there.

But as his wife walked out of that store... the suspect started RUNNING right at her.

Court records say he was "charging toward" her with a large fixed-blade knife.

So the father turned his car and drove it straight into the attacker and knocked him to the ground.

Stopped him cold.

The suspect scrambled up and ran INTO the store.

Deputies found him hiding behind the DELI counter and recovered the knife.

A 36-year-old named Eric Burgess is now charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to k*ll, assault on a female, and more.

And that dad?

His wounds, thank God, are not life-threatening, he's going to be okay!!!

This dad refused to be a victim, even though he got st*bbed in the NECK and his very next thought was his WIFE and his children.

THAT is a husband.
THAT is a father.

THAT is what it looks like to protect your family with everything you've got.

🚨WOW!!!

A 12-year-old boy was asleep on the couch when he woke up to a grown man CHOKING his mother.

He ran to the kitchen, grabbed the sharpest knife he could find… and SAVED HER LIFE, ST*BBING THE MAN TWICE UNTIL HE STOPPED CHOKING HIS MOMMA. ❤️

His name is Xavier Leathers.

It happened just after midnight this past Saturday at an apartment in Temple Hills, Maryland.

Xavier was asleep on the couch when his mom's boyfriend came into the home and started choking her.

The man got two good grips on her throat before Xavier could even move.

But this kid knew that if he didn't do something, RIGHT then, his mother might not survive.

"Something in my body told me to. I had to take action then or something bad would happen… she'll probably not make it."

So he ran to the kitchen. Grabbed the sharpest knife he could find. And came back.

The man was still on top of his mother, trying to get his other arm around her.

Xavier st*bbed him twice, near the rib cage.

And just like that, the choking stopped.

His mom didn't even know what happened at first.

"I had no idea why he stopped choking me until later when I overheard the police say he was stabbed twice."

The man was taken into custody. Xavier walked away with just a cut from the struggle. His mom is okay. She went to the hospital, then filed for a protective order.

And here's what his mama said about her boy:

"I'm thankful that he was brave enough to do it, because I probably wouldn't be here."

🚨#BREAKING: A Minnesota mother, Bonnie Pierce, escaped her burning house only to realize her toddler was still inside…

...and she ran BACK into the flames.

Firefighters found her wrapped around her baby girl, shielding her with her own body. ❤️

Her daughter, SURVIVED, she saved her life.

Her name is Bonnie Pierce, she was 38, a mom from St. Paul, Minnesota.

On Saturday afternoon, a fire broke out in the duplex where she was home with two of her daughters.

One of the girls, Aurora, did something incredible to save herself.

She kicked an air conditioning unit clean out of a window and climbed through it to safety.

And Bonnie made it out too.

She was OUT. She was safe.

But her other little girl, Grace, still just a toddler, was somewhere back inside that burning building.

Her mother, Bonnie, didn't think twice.

She turned around and ran back into the fire.

When firefighters fought their way in, they found her.

She had wrapped her own body around her daughter, shielding that little girl from the flames and the smoke with everything she had left.

Protecting her baby to the very end.

Bonnie was found unresponsive, she'd been without oxygen for nearly 15 minutes.

She had burns over 48% of her body.

First responders and doctors fought for her with everything they had.

But on Monday, Bonnie passed away from her injuries.

Little Grace, the daughter she shielded with her own body… SURVIVED.

She's still in the hospital. But doctors say she is expected to make a FULL recovery.

That is a mother's love.

Her home is now covered in flowers and chalk writing from friends that say "HERO" everywhere.

Please keep Bonnie's family and both of her little girls in your prayers.
