@Johnny_LEAD @Jeff_Bluck You can absolutely run 1/4 mi tracks on a self funded modest budget. 1/2 mi gets more expensive, but it’s doable if you aren’t running a touring series- which I don’t think is a requirement. ARCA on up is big $$$ for sure.
@tatramtn@SoSoShana4 I’ve flown southwest several times since the seat assignment change. I hate paying for checked luggage, but I prefer the seat assignments. Full flights. Haven’t had a single issue with OVH bin space.
@HakureiRyan@YourWaifu Yep. I’ve seen it first hand. People bring in crappy Amazon specials and wonder why it doesn’t fit correctly etc, then it’s the shops fault and liability. Just not worth it
@YourWaifu They cant warranty the customer supplied part. Plus if it’s the wrong part a& there’s a delay to get the correct part -the customer complains, throws a huge fit, and it ultimately comes back into the responsibility of the shop and usually ends up costing the shop $. I’ve seen it
@jeff_gluck@chaseelliott@NASCAR could absolutely engineer an air flow solution to get more air through the greenhouse as well as to the cool suit system. I wish I knew why they don’t?
@TeamKFBfan8@NASCAR These teams literally have whole teams back at the shop with multi million dollar “war rooms” it’s insane. I’ve been saying nascar needs to find a way to implement a salary/spending cap on a per-car basis.
@Simon_Ingari The biggest thing is competent leadership. Salaries commensurate with industry standard in your area and doing meaningful work are also very important. But regardless of how much you make, if you work for a** holes nothing will increase motivation.
@adhd_founder@dklineii I’m convinced that meetings are just a way for managers and other “leaders” to make themselves feel important. Almost all meetings could literally be a standup. There is value in that in the right context.
@dklineii@Schmopety Dave, I follow you and look forward to your wisdom. I do not work in corporate, but do lead teams and your insights are very valuable. Thank you!
@carson_macedo AI is one of the worst things to happen to humanity. Just wait. It’s great now, but will only improve. Our ability to tell real from fake will be impossible. It’ll take AI to fight AI.
@gotrice2024 I pay ahead often - there’s been a lot of skimmers on pumps in my area and I’ve found it safer to just walk in and prepay. It’s would be easy to give the teller the wrong pump #. I would have either spotted her $10 or told her to pull around an fill up.
@Alyx2448 Back in the ‘80’s/90’s it wasn’t uncommon to have the primary driver start a race and climb out (usually due injury, illness, etc) at the first caution for a relief driver to step in. Primary driver got the points as long as they started. It’s nothing new just packaged diff.
@whatsundersteer He needs seat time, but he brings an old school vibe packaged in new school wrapping that is huge for the sport. He def needs late model/short track truck/arca/OReilly experience.
@RobergRacing Had a buddy that had really bad vertigo for a while. His was due to an illness, not head trauma. It cleared up 100% after about 4 months and hasn’t returned in the 15 years since. All depends on what the cause is for Bowman. Hl
