#OTD in 1804 the first #Steam locomotive, designed by Richard Trevithick, pulled a #train for the first time along the tramway of the Penydarren Ironworks in Merthyr Tydfil, #Wales. My #illustration #artwork was for a #book project & the #Copyright is available to licence. 🚂🎨

#OTD in 1965 #British #railways 9F class locomotive 92240 was withdrawn from service and sold to Woodham Bros of Barry. She was bought by @bluebellrailway in 1978, much of the #MONEY for the restoration came from collecting newspapers for #recycling. My #artwork is in #acrylic.🚂
