I am a writer not because I don't have any fears but because I use creative ways to conquer my fears and tell them they are not enough to pull me down.
Don't listen to people who tell you that very few people get published and you won't be one of them... Keep writing, keep faith in the idea that you have unique stories to tell, and tell them.

"They found the coats on Thursday morning.
Fifteen winter coats. Good ones, not garbage. Hanging on the chain-link fence outside Lincoln Elementary. No note. No explanation. Just coats, zipped up like ghosts waiting for bodies.
Principal Morris freaked out. Called the police. "Could be stolen," she said. "Could be some kind of prank."
But then Kayla Martinez, eight years old, said her mom worked nights cleaning offices and couldn't afford a winter coat this year. She'd been wearing three hoodies layered up. She touched a purple one on the fence, the right size, and whispered, "Can I?"
Mrs. Alvarez, the PE teacher, said yes before anyone could stop her.
By lunch, all fifteen coats were gone. Fifteen kids who'd been shivering through recess were warm.
The next Thursday? Twenty coats. Different fence, same neighborhood, outside the community center. Then thirty coats appeared at the downtown shelter. Then blankets. Then winter boots.
No cameras ever caught who did it. No social media claims. Just... coats. Every Thursday. All winter long.
The news picked it up. Called them "The Fence Angel." Interviewed grateful families. But nobody knew.
Until March.
Old man died, Earl Hutchins, seventy-one, lived alone in a basement apartment on Fourth Street. When they cleaned out his place, they found receipts. Thrift store receipts. Hundreds of them. He'd been buying every decent winter coat he could find, spending his entire disability check, and hanging them up at night.
His nephew found a journal entry, "Lost my son to exposure in 2004. He was homeless, prideful, wouldn't take handouts. Froze to death behind a dumpster wearing a T-shirt. If I put coats on a fence, nobody has to ask. Nobody has to admit they need help. They just take it. Dignity intact."
I'm Kayla Martinez. I'm sixteen now. That purple coat got me through fourth grade. I never knew Earl. Never got to say thank you.
But last November, I took my babysitting money to Goodwill. Bought six coats. Hung them on that same fence.
My friends saw. They bought coats. Then their parents did. Then the high school started a coat drive, not for a bin, for the fence.
Last Thursday, there were 200 coats. Scarves too. Gloves. We call it "Earl's Fence" now. There's one in Detroit. One in Manchester. One in Vancouver.
I never met the man who saved me from freezing. But I'm becoming him, one coat at a time.
Because the best kind of help doesn't ask for credit. It just hangs there, quiet, waiting for cold hands to find warmth."

The bathtub in my home is a very mysterious object
I’ll explain
So typically I wash my bathrooms every week. And Friday evenings are my wash days.
Sometimes the week is so stressful and that is the last thing I want to do. And my husband will say “you overwash everything babe”
“The bathroom is not even dirty. It’s spotless. You don’t need to wash it this week.”
And the honest truth is if you enter my bathroom on days where I’m shouting I need to wash it you would be wondering what I want to wash. Because i still do daily maintenance throughout the week. Friday is just the main overhaul wash day.
Here’s the thing though. From a distance it looks picture perfect. But after a week of use, if you go close to the bathtub you would see that it’s not so perfect after all. You would see residue of soap and soap suds.
Anytime I’m washing it’s funny to me. Because I’m like how are these residue not obvious from a distance
And yesterday the Holyspirit said “aha” this happens to us too
From a distance you look like an ok Christian untill you go close to the Father. The closer you go the more you find out that it’s not just enough that you don’t insult. He starts talking to you even about your tone.
He starts telling you that it’s not enough that the dress you’re wearing covers your body well. He points to your heart that was feeling better than the lady seating next to you because your dress was more expensive.
Then he tells you pride and worldliness are seeping in.
He tells you it’s not just enough you showed up at Choir practice that week but that you came late when nothing kept you back home and you’re becoming unfaithful
So someone would see you on the outside an give you excellent as your christian score.
Because your social media page is filled of properly curated bile verses and “daughter of Zion” as your headline.
But if you go closer to the Father, you’ll see your flaws. Here’s the best part. He’s not showing them to you to make you feel bad. He came close because He wants to wash you. He’s trying to tell you, “you think you’re white now? Wait till I wash you
More”
I urge you Saint, come closer to the father.
Blessings
I hope I marry a man who sees me as his dream girl. A man who just stares at me & smiles because he's so in love with me. A man who never let faithfulness cross his mind. A man who is sweet & caring to me even during arguments cause he loves me so much to raise his voice at me
So basically I am in a bus yeah? And police just stop the bus to drag the person seated next to me. He is young, using an iPhone and with ear pieces and dressed in hoodie and sweatpants. Nothing about him screams threatening and dangerous.
They just stopped us.
My own is what is Nigerian police own excuse.
These police were along the road.
I am pretty much sure that the department that combats drugs related or cybercrimes or whatever it is they were searching for are not found on the streets of egbeda on a Monday evening rush hour
It was me that used my mouth to pray for a visionary man
Please why is this man waking me up by 2am to ask me what are my goals for the next quarter??
Adewale I just want to sleep😭
What do you do when you date a Yoruba guy that seems sweet and all but sometimes a voice in your head will tell you to run?
Is it love that is fighting for her or her village people are after her relationship?
Asking for a friend.
People often think that relationships only come to an end after big things happen: infidelity, abuse, etc.
However, in truth, a lot of relationships slowly reach their death long before the final parting.
These are some of the things that have the power to gradually kill love:
I’ve seen the movie and it’s beautiful. Odogwu Obiora is a rich confident man. Beyond the wealth, there’s a few things to say:
Love doesn’t fear. Love doesn’t think the worst. Love is not selfish. Love is sacrificial. Love is extravagant- when it has the means. Love continues to give its best- even when it doesn’t have.
There’s a difference between using money to buy love and using money to express love. It takes only an intelligent person to know the difference.
One thing is for sure: Love is not stupid.
But love is pointless if it is not sacrificial and love is worthless if it is not a love that gives and gives until it can give no more.
Always remember that.
We are taught not to burn bridges because we might need people later. But I pray I never have to depend on anyone who has hurt or humiliated me. May God bless me with abundance so I never have to be in that position.
Let it be known that I am neither looking for a lover nor casual sex here on Twitter. If at any point it seems like I am over engaging your content, it's just because your content is entertaining to me. I am not flirting or hinting at anything I don’t want you. ❤️&💡
My colleague, a bet 9ja addict who is always broke cos his salary is usually spent, gambling, invited his light skinned, big bu-ttocks girlfriend to the bank where we work one day
She was so beautiful we wondered if it was juju he used to catch a babe as beautiful as Opeyemi…
