Talk about impresionantes! These board games turned out excelente💃🏻 Students got to rotate around the room and play chapter review games with themes like running of the bulls, la tomatina, día de los muertos, and arte. Review doesn’t have to be aburrido!
Examen final en Español? No problema! These hard working level 1 estudiantes are prepared after each group was given a topic of review & turned it into a board game. This grupo talentoso had a travel themed board game, and did fantástico! Just look at that board 😍

Today we “traveled” to Costa Rica 🇨🇷to learn about carretas or “oxcarts.” Previously used to transport coffee beans by local ticos. Gracias to Jadyn, we enjoyed painting our own wheels! Then, Betsy took us to Cuba 🇨🇺where we learned the origins & basic steps of salsa dancing💃🏻
It’s time for our trip around the mundo w/ Spanish 3’s culture projects! This final project requires a 3 min presentational speech in the target language, a visual aid, & a 15 min interactive lesson where they engage w/ their peers in an activity that corresponds w/ their topic!

Español 3 has been ocupado! Celebrando 🌎Day, Jardinería, nature scavenger hunts, & a guest speaker (previous MJAY foreign exchange student) sharing información w/ us about her país! Next up is our trip around the mundo as they design their end of year Culture Day Projects.
Club de Español having fun at our “Amazing Race Event” 🌎 Teams raced to complete authentic costumbres & tradiciones from around the Spanish speaking mundo. Flamenco dancing, human pirámides, tomate fights, grape guzzling, pick a papa, and mucho más!
