My wife and I have just spent a fantastic few days in London; at no point did we feel ‘unsafe’. What we experienced was a vibrant, diverse, positive city.

I contrast the racist meatheads climbing lampposts and putting up scruffy St George’s flags made in Chinese sweatshops with the Spanish couple we chatted with at a lovely restaurant, both of whom work in the city.

I certainly feel a stronger connection with the Spanish couple. 🇬🇧

It’s been a long and difficult journey.

Today’s High Court judgment found that the majority of Laurence Fox’s comments and allegations about me were “contemptuous” and amounted to attacks on my “integrity, sincerity and reliability”, recognising the serious damage allegations of this nature are capable of causing to a person’s reputation.

I am grateful to Mr Justice Linden for his careful consideration of the issues before the Court.

Most of all, thank you to everyone who has supported me over the past two years. Your kindness, encouragement and belief in me have meant more than you’ll ever know. You have kept me going through some incredibly difficult moments, and I will never forget it.

As the proceedings remain ongoing, I won’t be commenting further at this stage.
