@DUSKdev I only hate games that promote practices that are widely damaging. Obviously subjective.
But how is this game damaging society or the industry?
@DUSKdev In the old game Soldat, camera tracks the middle point between your cursor and your character. So you see "less" behind you and more in the direction you aim. Adds a lot of depth to positioning.
Feels strange to some people but I love it.
@americanmcgee Alice and Scrapland resonate with me
But also Quake 2
I suspect what resonates with me is atmosphere and different games may use different tools to pull it off
Modern games have a lot to offer but often atmosphere is not there
@TimSweeneyEpic Free stuff aside, the Epic store is not a good service.
Your point is valid, but failing to back it up with a good offering undermines your credibility.
@Pirat_Nation The game looks very interesting. The main reason I did not buy it, is because I do not want to pay so much money for something that may not exist in a year.
Modern games have a deathclock. No, thanks
@TafferKing451 - There is value in feedback
- Do not do what they want verbatim. Most users are bad designers
- Vocal people are not representative of the whole user base
- Applies to more than games

@skdh Some conspiracy theories rely on a government being competent. Those are false by default.
Some conspiracy theories rely on coinciding economic incentives by empowered parties. Those are quite plausible.
@CottonhammerDev Games are an amazing hobby, but a cutthroat business
You are doing fine. Do not allow the darkness (toxicity, stress, etc) get to you : ) Take care : )
@CottonhammerDev Please, do not take any of this too seriously. I am just some old guy, speaking my mind in the internet.
Since it is not my budget on the line, I can be completely off mark
