That will upset a few ... it shouldn't but here goes:

Jesus was not a “Christian”; he was a Jew living, teaching and dying as part of the Jewish people.

He was born to a Jewish mother, raised in a Jewish community, kept Shabbat and Jewish festivals, and taught from the Hebrew Bible in synagogues. His arguments were with other Jews, inside a Jewish conversation about law, justice and God – not against Judaism itself.

Remembering that Jesus was Jewish matters. It cuts straight across centuries of antisemitism that tried to turn “Jesus” into a weapon against the very people he belonged to. If your faith, culture or curiosity brings you to Jesus, it should also bring you to a basic truth: without the Jewish people, there is no story to tell.
