There is no solution to child care that capitalism can provide. Families can't afford to pay any more, providers can't afford to pay any less, and workers make less than a barista for stressful, essential work. The only solution is public, universal child care access.
ICYMI: We need your help in Niles, Michigan. Last month we awarded a #BooksSaveLives grant to Brandywine Middle/High School, and recently shipped 193 diverse titles to the district.
The school board has since held those books for inspection, keeping them out of circulation. 🧵
