On the occasion of Yaum al-Mab'ath, the day commemorating the Prophet's (S) appointment as the Messenger of Allah, Leader Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) delivered a speech at his residence in Abuja on Monday, January 27, 2025, equivalent to 27th Rajab, 1446.
The Leader noted that Sunni sources regard the 27th of Rajab as the day on which the Prophet (S) ascended to heaven (Isra and Mi'raj). This is because, according to their sources, the Prophet's Isra and Mi'raj occurred only once. In contrast, Shi'a sources hold that the Prophet ascended to heaven numerous times.
In his speech, the leader addressed and debunked certain myths surrounding the first revelation. He rejected claims by unreliable sources that the Prophet (S) was seized by the archangel Jibra'il and forced to recite the Qur'an, calling such assertions baseless conjecture and an insult to the sacred personage of the Prophet (S). Sheikh Zakzaky emphasized that the Prophet (S) was aware of his prophethood even while in his mother’s womb.
The leader also refuted the notion that the Prophet (S) was unlettered, clarifying that he was untutored but not unlettered. He explained that the Prophet (S) was known to be literate in multiple languages, possessing the ability to read and write fluently. Sheikh Zakzaky stressed that labeling the Prophet (S) as unlettered is a misrepresentation and an affront to his noble character.
Additionally, other inauthentic traditions narrated by unreliable sources, which undermine the Prophet's (S) character, were dismissed. Sheikh Zakzaky highlighted the Prophet's miraculous traits from childhood and adolescence, his profound influence on the people of Makkah through his exemplary conduct, and the faith of his close relatives, including his mother, Amina, in his mission even before his formal proclamation of prophethood. These topics, among others, were discussed in the speech.

Targeted Assassinations Are The Enemy's Last Resort
Assalam Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Ta'ala Wa Barakatuhu:
To Allah we belong, and to Him we will certainly return.
I extend my condolences to the Imam of the Age (AJ), to Imam Khamenei (H), and to all the resistance axis in Lebanon, Palestine, Iraq, the Islamic Republic, and the blessed Yemen on the devastating martyrdom of Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah. May Allah accept his martyrdom and elevate his rank among the martyrs of Karbala.
The news is undoubtedly devastating, especially considering the unmatched barbarism in recent times. A building was demolished, and all its occupants were killed in a ruthless attempt to assassinate Sayyid Hassan, reminiscent of the barbarism exhibited by the enemies at Karbala.
We are still in shock, but we know they have achieved martyrdom, which is a noble fate. We are in a trial on this earth; no one lives forever. Alhamdulillah, Sayyid Hassan has carried responsibilities since before the martyrdom of Sayyid Abbas Musawi, nearly 40 years ago. Many times, he was on the frontline, and for all these years, they sought to kill him, but Allah protected him until he fulfilled his vow.
Certainly, his physical body and soul will now find rest, for he worked tirelessly, spearheading the struggle for the emancipation of Al-Aqsa and the Palestinian Ummah from Zionist occupation.
The enemies have celebrated this act of terrorism, just as the enemies did after the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS) in Karbala. The mockery of the enemies only increases someone's reward. Just as the enemies of Karbala were cursed, we hope the recent celebrations among the enemies will soon turn to sorrow.
Sayyid Hassan is alive in spirit and will continue to haunt his enemies until the last day. God willing, this is their final stand, and with his pure blood, the final triumph will soon be sealed.
We extend our condolences to the entire Ummah, not just to Lebanon and Palestine but to the entire axis of resistance and to all freedom seekers worldwide. The desire for freedom is universal. What is happening in Palestine has revealed the true face of the oppressors, exposing the hypocrisy of Western democracy, where a few control everything without the people's approval. The people do not support these enablers of oppression. It also reveals the true identity of the few who seek to exert their authority on earth while spreading corruption. God willing, their actions will soon come to an end. It is an established covenant that there is a solution in the future. May Allah hasten the reappearance of the Imam of the Age and bring an end to this cancer at the heart of the Islamic world. May this be the end of all oppression.
The blood of Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah will continue to haunt his enemies until the end, God willing. We reiterate our condolences, particularly to the immediate family of Sayyid Nasrallah, and offer them glad tidings. His exit is a glorious one, and we see nothing but goodness in it. This is the path of your ancestors, the path of Abi Abdullah al-Hussain (AS).
Sayyid Nasrallah lived a blessed life, spanning 66 years in the lunar calendar and 64 years in the Gregorian calendar, following in the footsteps of his great ancestors, the Prophet (S), who lived for 63 years, and Imam Ali (AS). God willing, we will reap only success in this world and the hereafter. To the people of the world, you can see how this world is divided into two axes: the oppressor and the oppressed. Choose between these two. Will you side with the oppressors, who are also oppressing you, or will you side with the struggle for the emancipation of the oppressed? God willing, the oppressors will never triumph.
Wa Sallallahu Ala Muhammadin Wa Ahlihi al-Tayyibin al-Tahirin.
–Leader Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H)
