It's very sad to inform that on the 8th shawwal [Wednesday] in the year 1345 AH [April 21, 1925] holy mausoleums of JANNAT-UL-BAQI (Madina, Saudi Arabia) had been demolished by the King Ibn Saud.
We strongly condemn and protest this inhuman act.

On 21st June 1925, one of holiest sites, Jannatul Baqi was demolished by the Saudi government.
As a social justice activist, #SheikhNimr was at the forefront of campaign to rebuild al Baqi.
He also ran several annual exhibitions on #RebuildBaqi which were cancelled by Saudi govt.
