There's Always Another way! It's never only this: Let's engage on how teenage pregnancy is partially a pandemic on its own.
Listen to the 1st episode of There's Always Another Way! It is never only this. Let us engage on teenage pregnancy as a health problem. It's social and economic problems and how worrying this health issue is.
@PhosaCcom Saying it will be enough is not a guarantee because the decision lies within an individual but knowing that all the resources and relevant information is there then that is a foundation that is good enough.
@PhosaCcom There are health services like clinics which should be able to assist. Also, seeing that is also a problem.. It means there's a gap that needs to be closed by providing and making awareness of such issues.
@KgagodiCcom @KhabeleCcom I remember when I was diagnosed with lupus SLE, it is characterized by the second highest prevalence of pulmonary arterial hypertension. I suffered in all aspects possible, biomedically, socially, emotionally and financially.
@KgagodiCcom @KhabeleCcom This is definitely educative and sad. Sorry for your sister's passing. Such health issues affect one in all aspects, biomedically, socially, emotionally and financially.
@LenonoCcom Yes, without a doubt. In this day and age there's nothing that should be regarded as taboo because such issue have detrimental effects on people's relationships and that's not something we should avoid or be shy to talk about.
@PhosaCcom@motsamaiccom@anchor Rates that are still interfering with many factors of life. Including financial strains.
In your opinion what to you think it's the main cause of teenage pregnancy?
@PhosaCcom@motsamaiccom@anchor Sorry to be answering a question with another question. Do you think that if the school's carriculum about sex education was sufficient enough and was insightful, we would still have such high rates of teenage pregnancies?
@KalakeCcom@MoleteCcom3724 I totally love the energy you are serving us on this podcast. Definitely one to be eager to listen to.
I'm glad that you've touched on this topic because the way alcohol has been glamoitized, we tend to forget the social problems that it comes with.
@mazibukoccom@NtsekheF Very insightful. Thank you. Though, I wonder how does one then deal with PTSD? When in realization that you are living with whatever trauma, what do you do to ease or rather deal with the trauma?
@KgagodiCcom @NtsekheF@3724Comm To minimize teenage pregnancy that deprives one to be fully independent before they can have children. Also, to break the circle of poverty, economic struggles and health risks that come with teenage pregnancy
@KgagodiCcom @NtsekheF@3724Comm Ahhh mmmhh, I don't think we can necessarily put an appropriate age to start having sex. Remember, it's been said that no sex before marriage but it's happening. The most important issue here is knowing fully about sex and knowing what precautions to take
@KgagodiCcom @NtsekheF Not necessarily to advocate for them to have sex but I would advocate for them to know what are the outcomes of having sex. I feel like some teenagers engage in sexual activities because they've been sat down and got educated about sex.
