Today (13 June) marks the birthday of English actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

A vocal supporter and ally of the LGBTQ+ community, Taylor-Johnson has starred in high-fashion queer campaigns and worked alongside non-binary actor Emma Corrin in the 2024 horror film ‘Nosferatu’.

Speaking with The Fashionisto in a March 2017 interview, Taylor-Johnson gave some insight into his inclusive view of feminism and what makes him proud to be a feminist.

“I’m happy to say I’m a feminist. Being a feminist is just believing in equal rights. Man, woman, gay, straight, black, white–we’re all in it together. When [my daughters] are young women, they’re going to be ready. I mean, their mum is one of the strongest, most independent women I know. A role model,” he said.
