Sony told a court that no reasonable person could think they own a digital game they paid $70 for.

Their argument? If you actually owned Resident Evil Requiem, the next guy couldn’t buy it, because you’d already “possess” it.

That’s one of the stupidest things I’ve ever heard.

That’s not how movies work. That’s not how video games have ever worked. Two people can buy the same product. Owning your copy does not mean you own the entire damn game.

You hit Buy. You paid full price. And they’re in court arguing it was always a license they can revoke whenever the fuck they want.

At the same time, Blackstone faced record withdrawals and had to inject $400M of its own cash.

PlayStation 6 reportedly being delayed to as late as 2029 is honestly a good thing.

Games already look incredibly good and the only thing holding them back is optimization.

The PS5 is already perfectly capable of running current and future games, if you want to take it a step further with AI upscaling and better visuals, then the PS5 Pro seems like the perfect choice for enthusiasts.

With that being said, it still sucks that the memory shortage has caused a worldwide stagnation of hardware progress and it would suck even more if the prices of current gen consoles skyrocketed even more because of this AI bubble…
