Nigeria starts the construction of a 4000 km high speed railway that will connect 36 states and will reduce travel time between Abuja-Lagos from over 12 hours to 3 hours.
The high speed electric bullet train project will cost $60 billion with completion of some sections in 2027.
Government is currently implementing a Comprehensive Approach for Migration Management aimed at strengthening border security, enforcing immigration laws, tackling corruption and closing policy loopholes as part of a broader effort to address illegal immigration in South Africa.
The plan is anchored on five pillars, namely, cracking down on violations of immigration and labour laws, preventing illegal entry into the country, stamping out corruption in the immigration system, strengthening immigration laws and policies, and working with other countries to address migration challenges across the region and continent.

Crime Intelligence boss, General Dumisani Khumalo, received a phone from an IDAC official yesterday who ordered him to hand himself over at Brooklyn Police Station today at 3pm. General Khumalo was also advised to bring a bag as he was going spend the night behind the bars.
Today, just before 3pm, as Khumalo was driving to the police station, as he was instructed, he received another phone call from another IDAC official who told him that an executive decision was taken and that he doesn’t need to hand himself to the police today.
