My students presented their Climate Action Project to grade 2 & 3’s at Holy Redeemer today. They taught them about food miles, eating seasonal and local foods, as well as planting micro greens. We even gave each student a microgreen grow kit! 🌱@HolyTrinityOCSB #ocsbBeCommunity

The tectonic plates lab is always a hit! Gr 7 students replicated each plate boundary with crackers (plates) and frosting (magma) to predict what they might cause. @HolyTrinityOCSB

On a plusieurs artistes en français de base! Regardez à ces belles peintures! Les 7e on peinturé leur activité d’hiver préféré. Ensuite ils l’ont décrient en utilisant notre tableau de traduction et les débuts de phrase.

Grade 7 tornadoes🌪 are taking action to combat climate change! They coded automated tree planters on the microbit. This was inspired by drones which are used for mass tree-planting as a solution to deforestation. @HolyTrinityOCSB #ocsbDL #ocsbBeCommunity

Today my 7’s used microbits for the first time to detect and analyze temperature. We used things such as a hot mug, a cold water bottle, a fan, and our hands to change the microbits temperature. This data helped us make a graph. I can’t wait to explore the climate action kit!
