What’s the hardest is when people support rights for every other marginalized group but do not support for 2SLGBTQ+ people. Do not support our identities being visible in the classroom.
Because we are dehumanized by politicians, religious leaders, our own communities.

Please donate if you can. Support this family in PDSB.
I've heard how hard it has been for Chad's teacher & classmates; I can't imagine how hard it would be for his family & friends. Hope we can support if able

When talking about colonization students no longer are able to simply describe experiences & observations but it gives them the vocabulary to do so 🙏🏼 merci @natasha_challo b/c I never thought about this until I met you & realized these conversations BELONG in the classroom
The legacy of colonization is "STILL ALIVE"👉🏼merci @profnoury That's the most eye opening part for Ss! They've asked why are we learning about HISTORY but then they bring up news about Kamloops Residential School, unsafe drinking water, renaming Ryerson University & it makes sense
Talking about Ramadan & Eid-al-Fitr this year while ignoring the violence in Palestine with students was not possible. We cleared up misconceptions & student reflected on what they learned and why it's important to them. They get it.
