Happy #AfricanHeritageMonth!
We are engaging in lots of celebration & learning at whole-school & classroom levels, connected by a theme of Ubuntu:
“I am because we are”.
Parents/guardians, please ask your child what he/she/they are celebrating & learning, now & always! ❤️🖤💚
We are working on our pre-reading strategies! Using one to one matching to make sure we are pointing underneath the word/image as we say the word 🦁🦒#maternelle#jepeuxlire
Joyeux Hanoukah! Today we learned all about Hanukkah and some of the many traditions! In Math, we played with dreidels and used our number sense skills to count our bijoux/gelt! #joyeuxhanoukah

Some of my favourite books for talking about diversity, inclusion, self-acceptance/self-love, and/or feature a Black main character. They are all great for FSL learners and I have read the majority of these to my FI kindergarten/primary class.
